How To Keep Your Succulents Happy
  • Water at least once a week, and soak the soil so that water runs out through the holes in the pot
  • Will shrivel if not enough water, and will get mushy, brown/black leaves, rot if too much water
  • Bright (but not always direct) sunlight
  • If the succulent is growing long and leaning towards the light source, needs more light
  • If gets too much light, may get “burned,” indicated by discoloration and a rougher texture
  • If you are changing the amount of light they receive, do it very slowly and gradually over the course of weeks
  • If kept in a cool place, water less
  • Incorporate rocks or sand to make the soil drain easier
  • Succulents like low humidity (it is a desert plant)
